Can Rice Water Lighten The Skin Permanently?


Rice Water can be used on all skin types such as dry, oily or normal skin. The rice powder can be used as body scrub, thereby removes the dead cells

Rice water contains vitamins, minerals and amino acids which are essential for beautiful skin, including ferulic acid, which is a great antioxidant, and allantoin, known for it’s anti-inflammatory properties.

Common followed process

Method 1: No-boil quick method

To make rice water, first rinse the rice with about a cup of water to remove any dirt or impurities. Place the rice in a bowl and cover with water. Let the rice soak for 10 to 15 minutes. Now strain out the rice water into a clean bowl. Your rice water is ready to use.

Method 2: Boiled rice water

To make a concentrate of rice water to use as a facial wash or hair rinse, prepare rice as you normally would. After the rice has cooked, strain it out. The leftover water will be a vivid white color, and will contain a high concentration of nutrients

Skin Toner:

The Rice water is an excellent skin toner. It helps in keeping the skin smooth and glowing. It will even your skin tone.

This natural skin toner promotes cell growth, stimulates blood flow, and helps keep your skin smooth and bright.

Reduces the pore size:

The ugly pores give an unhealthy look to your skin. Damp a cotton ball into the rice water and apply it on your skin. The rice water acts as an astringent and thus tightens the pores, making it appear smaller. It firms up the pores as well.

Acne healer:

Rice water also helps heal acne and cools the redness of an outbreak. It acts as an astringent on the skin, tightening the pores.

Deals with eczema:

The starch components help in dealing with eczema. Boil the rice with water. Take it off from the stove once the rice is cooked. Do not strain it frequently as possibilities of loss of starch component are high. Cool the water and apply on the affected area. Regular application will treat eczema.

Soothe sunburn:

Rice water is also used for cooling inflammations and burnt skin. It will help your skin recover fast and prevent further damage

Rice water is far more beneficial than those artificial products which claim to lighten and brighten up your skin. Use Rice water as a regular face wash to get that glow on your face. It will gradually improve your skin tone. Damp the cotton in rice water and apply on your face. Let it air dry.
